Helen trained in Performing Arts at Middlesex University. Since then she has worked in London's West End and Community, Youth and Educational Theatre nationwide. Helen started working at The Thorndike Theatre on a range of pre West End shows before taking the opportunity to join Bill Kenwright's team in London, where she worked on Blood Brothers and Dancing at Lughnasa. Both huge productions provided the opportunity to work with amazing creative teams and really made her determined to develop a career in theatre. She took the leap and became a director of Salamander Theatre followed by co Artistic Director of Gazebo Theatre five years later. Helen became Artistic Director of the RYTC in 1995. She loves the variety that small scale theatre allows and continues to act whenever it fits in with the rest of the schedule.

Tess Lukehurst - Writer in Residence
As a business manager Tessa has worked with a variety of organizations in the creative industries. She joined the RYTC team five years ago and has so far developed the company's work within schools, theatres and creative educational environments. Her extensive experience has also enabled the company to create a corporate training programme. I addition Tess is a talented creative writer and has written two scripts for the company to date.
Karen Swan - Creative Associate
Karen was taken under the wing of Mary Richards at Birmingham Rep theatre school when she was 16 already a singer songwriter she then traveled Europe and studied performing arts and Shakespeare in the southwest on returning. She enjoys writing and performing in equal measure.
Jules Woodman - Creative Associate
Jules is an actor with years of experience as director of her own theatre and film company, designing community projects and workshops for people aged 2 to 99. "I'm very pleased to be working with RYTC and look forward to developing new exciting and interesting projects."
Debra Metfah - Creative Associate
Debra is an Actor/Drama workshop facilitator who specialises in the field of Theatre-In-Education and projects for young people including Youth Theatre. Trained at ALRA (the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts) she has worked with young people of all ages from Early Years to 6th form, complementing her drama delivery with music, mime and puppetry for the younger ages and delivering workshops on Brecht, Stanislavski and Artaud for the older groups. She has also branched out into stand up comedy and improvisational murder mysteries, but her first love is working with young people using drama delivery to help develop their confidence and self esteem as well as growing their drama skills and knowledge.
Chris David Storer - Creative Associate
Chris is an actor and song-writer. He trained at LAMDA, graduating in 2006, and has appeared in several productions since then, both in the UK and abroad. He has a particular love of Shakespearean plays, some of which he has had the pleasure of touring to open air venues in France, as well as performing in historic venues in London.
He is also a singer and songwriter and has not only appeared in several musical theatre productions as an actor, but has also written songs for various productions. His TV work includes the two-part Channel 4 drama Britz and the BBC drama Hustle, and he has recorded voice-overs for various corporate training videos.

Victoria Lowe - Marketing And Publicity Director
Victoria trained at The Arts Educational School London and studied expressive arts therapy at The Tamalpa Institute, California. Having spent many years as part of the performing arts industry, and teaching drama and movement to children, she has a deep insight into how to inspire and promote the work of those she believes in. She has been a part of the RYTC team, in various different roles, for many years and she continues to promote and update their website and social media, so their work can reach many.
