The RYTC uses creative arts to support young people with confidence, expression and positive mental health.
Through drama, theatre, film, music and creative projects, young people are given a space where they can take part, try new things and feel supported. The aim is not to push anyone before they are ready. It is to create the right environment for each young person to feel safe enough to begin.
For some young people, confidence comes slowly. It might begin with joining a session, watching others, sharing an idea, speaking one line or taking part in a group activity. These small steps matter because they help young people build trust in themselves.
At the heart of The RYTC is the belief: Of Course You Can!™
This means meeting young people where they are and helping them move forward in a way that feels possible. Some may be full of creative ideas but lack confidence. Some may find school or social situations difficult. Some may simply need a different kind of space to be seen and heard.
The RYTC gives them that space.
Creative arts can help young people express feelings, build friendships, practise communication and discover strengths they may not have noticed before. It can also support wellbeing by giving them something positive, creative and meaningful to be part of.
The RYTC works with families, schools and organisations. Some projects are ready to access, while others can be designed around a particular need. This could be a project to support confidence, inclusion, wellbeing, teamwork or a specific challenge within a school or community.
The RYTC is also part of a wider partnership with Education Selection Box and Give Get Go Education. Together, these pathways support young people through academic learning, creative arts and training for future opportunities.
The RYTC’s role is simple: to use creativity to help young people believe in themselves.
Because when a young person begins to feel, “I can try,” that can become something much bigger.
Creative Pathway Methodology: Of Course You Can!™ serving the brilliantly underestimated.
